Most users will not miss the backslah in everyday work on the Mac. Especially for programmers, this special charater is indispensable. No matter if you are an old Mac hare or a newcomer to Macintosh: At some point you will probably need the charter "\". And so it goes.

To type the backslah in the text press and hold "Alt" and "Shift" keys and then press the number "7".
